These guys were great to me. I was in a jam and close to having my truck towed by the city all because my hood was creased and no way to open it and add tranny fluid so I could move it. Kelly referred me to an inexpensive towing company and got it moved to their shop. He gave me a parts' list (hood, hinges, etc.) and had me order it so no parts mark-up. Labor charges very fair and very close to original estimate so no nasty surprises.
I'm so happy with their work on my 1978 GMC truck that now I am saving up to have a lot more done - performance upgrades and modify my A/C to work with modern fluid.
From their website you see they do a lot of really fancy and expensive restorations so I was happy to find they were willing to do smaller jobs for me as I save up for each one.
Great folks and amazingly skilled with everything (drivetrain, systems, paint, and body).
Thanks Guys!
I'm outta' here......

Ramsey's Rods did incredible work on my 1947 Ford F1. They were very informative throughout the entire process and made sure I was aware of each step of the restoration process.
Their entire team went above and beyond, including helping me source the right person for all interior re-do as well.
Kelly Clark, shop manager, was first class and a pleasure to work with.
Thank you Ramseys' Rods for all of the hard work you put into my 1947 Ford!

I also wanted to give another shout out for Kelly Clark, and his willingness all these months later post COVID honoring his word to come finish the final tune up.
Thanks again and hope everyone stays healthy and well.

If you're looking for one of the car shops you see on TV with a crew of 10-15 people and big-name sponsors interested in advertising their corporations, look elsewhere. Ramsey's Rods is a small professional hot rod and restoration shop that provides award-winning personalized and detail oriented work. Ramsey's Rods did a 2 1/2 year restoration project on my 1963 Chevy ll, which is now a winner in all show categories.
I first met with the owner, Mr. Stephen Ramsey, and shop manager, Kelly Clark, about the ideas I had for my car. We created a plan with costs and revised it until everything was to my liking. I had a second meeting the following week to discuss a timeline and to meet Mrs. Denise Ramsey, the business manager, to discuss fee schedules, payments, and the overall contract. The project contract included paint and body, electrical, general mechanical fees and paperwork. As the restoration moved forward, the shop manager kept me updated with emails and photos. I was always welcome to drop by for “shop talk,” especially since I'd decided to change the strategy from "Let's just get the car running." to "Let's get the car running and transform it into a show car."
Any unsatisfactory reviews appear to have been posted by people who didn't read or understand their contract.
I’m very pleased with work done on my vehicle and highly recommend Ramsey's Rods for your restoration project.

A GREAT STORY WITH A HAPPY ENDING ....
Back in December 2011, Stephen Ramsey purchased a 1962 Dodge Lancer from a seller who lived close to his shop. After getting the vehicle and parts back to the shop, Stephen did some internet research and quickly believed he had bought a STOLEN vehicle. Well, it was true, and it was stolen, and Stephen got it back to the rightful owner who had recently moved to Texas when the vehicle was stolen while parked in a trailer in a storage lot. Stephen immediately called Officer Pete Henz of the Fort Worth Auto Theft Task Force, and he asked him to take over the situation. Stan, the owner, recently contacted us to let us know he had finally finished the restoration work and wanted to share his total happiness with us once again. Here is the link to the original article printed in Hemmings Magazine December 2011, and recent photos of the 1962 Dodge Lancer.
Enjoy a heartwarming story.....
